Andrew (Rick) Everett

Athabasca Business Development

Rick’s career began in the mining industry with Syncrude Canada. He held various supervisory positions, with the last 15 years in the leadership development training and organizational development area. After retiring from Syncrude, Rick open Athabasca Business Development in which he is the President, located in Nanton, Alberta. ABD currently

Consults and has contacts with Community Groups, Government Ministries, Municipal initiates, Not for Profit groups in both strategic planning and leadership development.

Rick is looking forward to working with the Mayor, Council and the Citizens of Yorkton as they develop their strategic direction to 2020.





Dr. Ken Meen

Athabasca Business Development

Ken received his doctorate from the University of Alberta in 1988, is published in the refereed professional literature, and has held senior management positions in corporate and manufacturing settings. He has had considerable involvement in the development of high performance organizations and a number of large scale organizational change programs, including the development of organization strategies, organizational redesign, examining management practices, and so on.

Ken has developed a number of organizational effectiveness interventions, including those that encourage broad involvement. He has developed human resource planning systems for public and private sector organizations. He is the Principal of Westgroup Solutions Inc. and has served several of Canada’s important organizations, including Alcan, Nova Chemicals, Falconbridge, Hibernia, Telesat Canada, Syncrude, Agrium, Edmonton Police Service, Chevron Canada Resources, Luscar, NT Power Corp., Diavik Diamond Mines, and so on. Ken has served international clients, including Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton, Cleveland Cliffs, Diamond Shamrock, Scaw Metals Group, etc. Ken has also served various public sector organizations in Health Care and the Alberta Provincial Government.





Louise Belanger

Sunrise Health Region

Louise works in the Public Health area of Sunrise Health Region. She came to Yorkton 4 years ago, from Alberta, returning to her Saskatchewan roots.

Louise’s career began in the Social Services sector and 15 years ago changed direction to community and organizational development after being in a number of leadership roles. Louise has worked on strategic planning, business planning and project implementation with Provincial Ministries, Municipalities, Corporations, First Nations, and not for Profits.

The Sunrise Health Region is pleased to work with The City of Yorkton on Yorkton 2020 Community Strategic Plan by providing Louise’s time and expertise on the conference management team working with Athabasca Business Development to lead this planning process.
