January 8, 2001

Minutes of a Regular Meeting of Council held on Monday, January 8, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers City Hall.

Present: Mayor Phil De Vos, Councillors Arnelien, DeRyk, Fromm, Goulden, Wegner and Wyatt.

Staff Members Present: Wayne Jensen, Laurie-Anne Rusnak, Lonnie Kaal, Jody Hauta, Jim Ennis, Jerry Cheshuk, Terri Eger, Stu McFadyen, Bill Hawkins, Horatio Gnyp and S/Sgt. Martin. Recording: Gloria Signarowski.

A quorum being present Mayor Phil De Vos in the Chair called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

York Lake Regional Park Authority

A letter dated December 28, 2000 from the York Lake Regional Park Authority regarding sponsorship was circulated for Council’s consideration along with a memorandum from the City Clerk.

That the Council of the City of Yorkton extend the lease agreement and waive the rental amount of $3,360.00 for the York Lake Regional Park Authority for use of office space in City Hall for the period January 1, 2001 to December 31st, 2003, and that the City continue to be designated as the sponsoring municipality.

A letter dated December 27, 2000 from the President of the Citizens on Patrol Program was circulated for the consideration of Council.

Director of Public Works & Engineering – Snow Removal

A memorandum dated January 4, 2001 from the Assistant Director of Public Works & Engineering along with cost estimates regarding snow removal for certain sidewalks were circulated for the consideration of Council.

A memorandum dated January 4, 2001 from the City Clerk/Director of Personnel along with a petition requesting the bus to run from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays were circulated for the consideration of Council.
