REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
December 17, 2012

Minutes of a Regular Council Meeting held on Monday, December 17, 2012 in Council Chambers City Hall commencing at 5:00 p.m.

Present: Mayor Maloney, Councillors Arnelien, Fisher, Goulden, Pearen, Wilson and Wyatt

Staff Members Present: Bonnie Schenher, David Putz, Gord Shaw, Lonnie Kaal, Trent Mandzuk, Chris Wentzell, Michael Eger, Faisal Anwar, Dean Clark, and Roy Lanaway

Darcy McLeod and Michael Buchholzer arrived late.

A quorum being present Mayor Maloney in the chair called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.

PUBLIC ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

Mayor Maloney recognized Councillor Randy Goulden who was honored with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Councillor Goulden expressed her surprise and honour in receiving a reward that recognized her work with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and the Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities. She thanked the residents of Yorkton for giving her the opportunity to do this work.

Director of Planning and Engineering – Serviceability Study of North Industrial Lands and Airport

A report dated December 10, 2012 from the Director of Planning and Engineering regarding a Serviceability Study of North Industrial Lands and Airport was circulated for the consideration of Council. Gord Shaw was present in Council Chambers to speak to this report.

Engineering Services is authorized to commence the North Industrial Lands and Airport Servicing Study through the services of Integrated Engineering at a cost of $110,00.00 plus disbursements plus GST.
Further, Engineering Services is authorized to enter into an engineering services agreement with Integrated Engineering for this work.

Further that the 2013 Capital budget be amended so that the allocation to drainage be reduced from $1,130,000 to $940,000.
