New Downtown Parking Meters

New meters are installed and fully operational on downtown streets and in City owned parking lots!

The new on-street and parking lot meters will be operational Monday, January 8th, 2018.

In the City owned lots (as shown in the map here), Pay and Display parking stations have replaced old meters.  To use these lots, just park in a parking stall, visit the pay station and purchase time using coins or Visa/MasterCard.  After purchasing time, place the receipt on the dash in your vehicle with the expiry visible.

New 15 minute maximum meters have also been installed on downtown streets.  These meters are very similar to the previous single space meters that were downtown; just follow the prompts on the screen to purchase time.  These 15 minute meters are dispersed throughout the downtown side streets and provide parking for those hoping to run into a store for a quick pick-up.  Two hour free parking downtown remains, except in the 15 minute or handicap parking stalls.  The new 15 minute meters also accept Visa and MasterCard.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask the downtown Parking Officer or call (306)786-1725.

Rates for the 15 minute meters on the downtown streets are:

  • $0.25 per 7.5 minutes
  • $0.50 per 15 minutes

Rates for the City lots at the Pay and Display machines are:

  • $0.25 per 15 minutes
  • $1.00 per hour

1 hour minimum for City lots.
