What we do

The City Clerk's Office is responsible for a variety of corporate, administrative and legislative functions putting it in continual contact with all municipal departments, elected officials, and the general public.

The City of Yorkton’s City Clerk is responsible for the following services:

  • provides administrative support services to Council;
  • maintains an index register containing certified copies of all bylaws of the city;
  • maintains official records of the City of Yorkton (minutes, agreements, other official documents);
  • ensures that proper public notice is given in relation to the Cities Act or any other Act;
  • provides administrative support to Council appointed  Boards, Commissions and Committees;
  • maintains City Archives;
  • sale and leasing of City land and property holdings (Residential and Agricultural).
