Ray Sass

Seven year public school board member and longtime community and provincial volunteer Ray Sass seek your support in re-election to the Good Spirit School Board on October 28.

Ray has worked and resided in the community since 1974 and involved in a variety of community, provincial and national organizations mostly on the Board of Directors level. His work in the community and involvement in the variety of organizations assists him in understanding the educational needs of the community and represent the wishes of all parents, students and others in the community. Ray is proud to have been a part of the original Good Spirit School Board since the amalgamation in June, 2005. In his tenure as Board Member Ray has provided leadership, dedication and consistency to the Board.

Ray is employed with SARCAN Recycling as a Regional Manager, after retiring from a 25 year management career with the Saskatchewan Abilities Council, Yorkton Branch.

Ray has a vested interest in the Good Spirit School Division as four of his grandchildren attending schools in the Division.

Ray believes and promotes a board policy governance model which involves developing strategic direction and continually monitoring the results through an established reporting system. Ray believes that education is important to our future and together we can address the many challenges and reap the rewards of successful students and in turn successful communities.
