What we do
The Human Resources Department acts as a central resource for all Departments in the provision of timely and effective recruitment, as well as maintaining up-to-date Job Fact Sheets, job evaluation and employee files.
The Department encourages ongoing training and development of municipal staff, and maintains training records in accordance with City Policy. As well, the Human Resources Department provides professional development opportunities for staff related to priority areas determined by the City.
The Department oversees Group Benefits to ensure that required premiums are processed for all benefits on a monthly basis.
Other areas include Labour Relations, Occupational Health & Safety, Compensation & Benefits, and ongoing development, maintenance and monitoring of all Human Resources policies.
