Occupational Health and Safety

The City of Yorkton places primary importance on the health and safety of each employee and is committed to a safety program that protects staff, property and the public.  Our goal is to achieve health and safety excellence through cooperative effort, good training, careful planning and strong management.

All employees are responsible for protecting their own safety, that of their co-workers and the public, and for complying with relevant health and safety legislation, rules and procedures. Supervisors must advise employees of any risks or hazards associated with their particular job and should ensure the relevant inspections, hazard identification and hazard control measures are in place.
