The City of Yorkton has a number of active parks located throughout the city. The parks contain facilities for use by the entire city and visitors alike.
BMX Park - This is a BMX bike course located east of Columbia School.
Crossthwaite Park - A large field park suitable for lacrosse, soccer or football located on Mountview Road.
Heritage Heights Park - Located on McBurney Drive, this park includes
2 tennis courts and an outdoor rink with lighting until 10:00 p.m. during
respective seasons, a ball diamond with backstop, a football/soccer field with
uprights and walking pathways.
Jackson Park -This park space offers playground equipment, walking
pathways and sun shelter. It is located between 2nd and 3rd Avenue North.
Jaycee Beach - This large recreational area is located on Gladstone
Avenue North and is home to 4 softball/baseball diamonds, playground equipment,
washrooms, concession, beach volleyball area and a
picnic area.
Knights of Columbus Park - Located on Circlebrooke Drive, this park
has lighting throughout, an activity hill for tobogganing, and
an outdoor rink which is lit until 10:00 p.m. throughout the winter. During the
summer enjoy the permanent benches, walking paths, an activity hill, tennis
courts (which are lit until 10:00 p.m. throughout the summer), playground
equipment and a ball diamond with a backstop.
Patrick Park - Located on King Street, this park has a 9-hole Disc Golf Course, horseshoe pits, picnic tables and benches.
Rodney Ridge - Located on Roslyn Avenue, this park has a bowl type
landscape, which is perfect for tobogganing.
Skate Park - The skatepark is located in the southwest corner of the Gallagher Centre parking lot.
Silver Heights Park - Located on Sunset Drive North, this active space
is home to an outdoor rink, playground equipment, a tennis/basketball surface,
spray pool and walking pathways with benches.
Ukrainian Pioneer Park/Drake Field - This park area offers walking pathways, playground equipment and a large soccer/lacrosse playing field. It is located between 1st and 3rd Avenue North and Henderson and Burke Street.
Waterloo Park - Located on Collacott Street East, this open park space
includes walking pathways, playground equipment and picnic tables.
Western Financial Group City Centre Park - Located on Broadway Street West in downtown Yorkton is the newly redesigned Western Financial Group City Centre Park. The Park features benches and a stage for entertainment for small community gatherings. The mural located on the east end of the park was designed and painted by Grant McLaughlin. The Park is available for bookings by calling 786-1780.
Weinmaster Park - This large park space is located on Morrison Drive in Yorkton and provides walking pathways, a playground structure, an asphalt pad for basketball and assorted games, and an activity hill for tobogganing, horseshoe pits, picnic tables and benches. This park also has water and electricity available.
Weinmaster Spray Park - The spray park is located off Morrison Drive in Weinmaster Park. The park is fully automated with timers installed to prevent use outside of daytime hours and is operational during the summer months from mid-morning through early to mid-evening. Lights will not be provided at the spray park as we do not want to encourage use as night.
