Official Community Plan Review
The City is making changes to its Official Community Plan, Zoning Bylaw, and Sign Bylaw. These policy documents need updating in response to changes in Provincial Legislation and ongoing growth and development pressures. (Click here for further details.)
In order to engage its residents and business owners, the City has conducted a resident survey, held three open houses and sent draft plans to a volunteer steering committee. The Official Community Plan was approved by Council on June 9, 2014 and will now be subject to review and approval by the Province’s Community Planning Branch before it comes into effect. The Zoning and Sign Bylaws are nearing completion, but are still in draft stage. Please check back for the latest updates.
