Broadway and Back - Interactive Video History Tour

“Broadway & Back” is a new interactive video walking tour that can be taken on your smartphone. Simply load up the tour from the link below, and set off to explore Yorkton’s historic old town center. The tour functions closest to an audio tour, with a more in depth approach to the history through a video lens. Participants can watch as history comes to life through the merging of present day video and archival photographs. It closely follows and can further be enhanced by the Pioneer Ways and Bygone Days guide book, available through the City of Yorkton. The tour starts on the southwest side of the Collins Barrow building (located at the intersection of Broadway Street and Myrtle Avenue) and takes approximately 30-40 minutes.

Busy day in the Village of Yorkton, 1897.
