Notice of Poll


Voting on the Health Levy will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2003. The object of the vote is to establish if the City will pass a bylaw to continue to fund a new multi-purpose health care facility and equipment through a residential levy on property taxes of $105 per year for the next four years as was done in 2002. Voting stations will be set up at both the Agriplex and the Gloria Hayden Community Centre between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Notice of Advance Poll


An Advance Poll is being held on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003, for the convenience of electors. The object of the vote is to establish if the City will pass a bylaw to continue to fund a new multi-purpose health care facility and equipment through a residential levy on property taxes of $105 per year for the next four years as was done in 2002. The Advance Poll will be set up at City Hall between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Aquatic Center News


Come one, come all, to the Parkland Aquatic Center! Registrations are still being accepted for the session of Monday/Wednesday swim lessons, starting on February 10. This session is the best time to take lessons because your children will learn how to swim and be water smart, just in time for summer and weekends spent at the lake. Hurry in because space is limited and you do not want to be disappointed!

Monday night is Theme Nights at the Aquatic Center. At public swimming this week the water safety theme will be The Front Crawl!

Notice to Residents
Water Infrastructure Maintenance


The City will be conducting gate valve exercises for approximately three weeks, commencing February 6th.

The exercises are scheduled for the areas South of Broadway starting at the east end and working towards the west end of the City. Residents in the area can expect to experience some localized discoloration.

This is a necessary procedure and the City apologizes for any inconveniences that this will cause. Concerns will be answered by contacting the Public Works Dept. at 786-1760 or Engineering Dept. at 786 - 1730.
