Public Open House
on Transportation Study

Wardrop Engineering has been hired by the City of Yorkton to update the 1987 Yorkton Transportation Study, which has served to guide the development of Yorkton's transportation infrastructure for the past 16 years. The Study will provide the City with a framework to plan necessary improvements to the City's transportation infrastructure to a population of 25,000. In addition to providing a detailed analysis of traffic volumes and patterns, the Study will address future roadways and intersections, pedestrian traffic, parking, city transit, and other transportation related issues.

Citizens are encouraged to attend this Public Open House Session to review the findings of Wardrop Engineering to date, and to provide input into the development of the Study. In particular, we want to hear the concerns of the citizens of Yorkton and also their suggestions for improvements.

The Open House is scheduled as follows:

October 30, 2003
Godfrey Dean Art Gallery
49 Smith Street East
3:00 PM to 7:00 PM
