Please Note: Effective Monday, April 19, 2004 up to and including the August 9, 2004 meeting, Yorkton City Council Meetings will be held at 5:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall.
 

 

 

 

Farmland for Lease

  
The City of Yorkton has available for lease approximately 58 acres hay land located on the SW10-26-4.

Written bids sealed and delivered to the undersigned will be received until 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 11, 2004. Included in the bid indicate the amount per acre, address, and daytime phone. City of Yorkton Policy 10.230 applies. The successful bidder will be required to sign a standard two year lease agreement.

Spring Clean-up Week 

  
The week of Monday, May 3 to Saturday, May 8, 2004 has been declared by City Council to be "Spring Clean-Up Week."

Residents of the City of Yorkton are requested to clean their properties and improve the image and appeal of our community. To encourage participation, the City will waive the landfill entrance fee for residential waste (excluding tire disposal) for cars, half ton trucks and utility trailers for this period.

Landfill Hours 

  The spring & summer landfill hours are as follows:
 

MAY 1 TO MAY 31

Monday to Friday:
Saturday: 
8:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. 
8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

JUNE 1 TO AUGUST 31

Monday to Saturday:  8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

CLOSED SUNDAYS AND STATUTORY HOLIDAYS

Please enter not later than 15 minutes before closing to allow for material handling.

City Bylaw #16-1981 requires that all loads transported to the landfill be securely fastened so as not to allow debris to fall onto the highway, offences subject to a $100 fine.
