Final Public Open House
on Transportation Study

Wardrop Engineering has been hired by the City of Yorkton to update the 1987 Yorkton Transportation Study, which has served to guide the development of Yorkton's transportation infrastructure for the past 16 years. A final "draft" of the Study has been completed and will provide the City with a framework to plan necessary improvements to the City's transportation infrastructure to a population of 25,000. In addition to providing a detailed analysis of traffic volumes and patterns, the Study addresses future roadways and intersections, pedestrian traffic, parking, city transit, and other transportation related issues.

The City of Yorkton will be hosting a Final Public Open House to provide the public an opportunity to review the plan before it is finalized. Citizens are encouraged to attend to review and comment on the findings of Wardrop Engineering.

The Open House is scheduled as follows:

June 29, 2004
Godfrey Dean Art Gallery
