Bylaw No. 22/2004: Borrowing Bylaw


Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Yorkton intends to consider giving second and third reading to Bylaw No. 22/2004, known as the Borrowing Bylaw, a bylaw to provide for the borrowing of $7,000,000 for the purpose of construction of a multi-purpose facility at the Council Meeting of Monday, September 27, 2004 at 5:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall, 37 Third Avenue North.

Public Notice
Proposed Bylaw No. 19/2004


The Council of the City of Yorkton pursuant to Section 207 of The Planning and Development Act, 1983 hereby gives notice of its intention to pass Bylaw No. 19/2004 to authorize a contract zone on the following property:

Lot C, Block 63, Registered Plan No. 72Y07045, known civically as 516 Broadway Street West shall be rezoned (under the Contract Zoning requirements as outlined in Section 82 of The Planning and Development Act, 1983) from C2 - Arterial Commercial to MI-1 - Light Industrial as outlined in bold on the map below.

The rezoning of the property via contract agreement will allow for the use of a Storage Compound/ Facility for the purpose of truck storage in addition to the existing Licensed Restaurant and Drinking Establishment.

The proposed bylaw zoning amendment may be inspected in the office of the Junior Planner, City Hall by any person without payment of any fees between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm, all holidays excepted and up until 12:00 noon Friday September 24th, 2004.

Any person may make oral or written representation to City Council at its meeting to be held on Monday September 27th, 2004 in the City Hall Council Chambers, Yorkton, Saskatchewan at 5:00pm. Oral or written submissions will be considered when the Public Hearing, in respect to this application, is in session.

Proposed Zoning Bylaw Amendment Bylaw #23/2004


The Council of the City of Yorkton pursuant to Section 207 of The Planning and Development Act, 1983 hereby gives notice of its intention to pass Bylaw #23/2004 and to consider a Zoning Bylaw Amendment on the following property:

Lots 1 to 20 both inclusive, Block 16, Registered Plan A.B. 3607, known civically as 162 Dunlop Street shall be rezoned from IN - Institutional to R4 - High Density Residential as outlined in bold on the map below.

The proposed bylaw zoning amendment will allow for the conversion of the existing school into assisted living housing for seniors.

The proposed bylaw zoning amendment may be inspected in the office of the Junior Planner, City Hall by any person without payment of any fees between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm, all holidays excepted and up until 12:00 noon Friday September 24th, 2004.

Any person may make oral or written representation to City Council at its meeting to be held on Monday, September 27th, 2004 in City Hall Council Chambers, Yorkton, Saskatchewan at 5:00pm. The Parkland Agriplex Aquatic Centre is now closed until March 2005 due to the construction of the new Yorkton Family Leisure Centre. We will be offering the following programs at the Travelodge Yorkton Pool located at 345 Broadway Street West.

Attention: Dog Owners
Re: 2005 Dog Licenses

 
Vaccinations and Licenses: 

Dogs in the City of Yorkton are required to have up-to-date vaccinations and licenses each year.

Pursuant to Section 3(1) of the City of Yorkton Bylaw No. 3/2003, it is mandatory for any person who keeps, possesses, harbors or has charge of or control over any dog to obtain a license before January 31st in each calendar year and place it's tag on the dog's collar.

Annual license fee rates are follows:
Male - $20.00 Female - $20.00 Spayed or emasculated - $10.00
Pups between the age of 0 and 12 months who have not yet been spayed or emasculated - $10.00
