Water Treatment Project Expansion
Happening in Logan Green

The first phase of the Water Treatment Plant Expansion has started! A reservoir will be located off of Queen Street in the area marked off by an orange snow fence. This snow fence will contain the construction site for a new reservoir that will be 82 x 51 metres long and approximately 4 metres high. This reservoir will hold approximately 4 million gallons of water.

The City of Yorkton has designed the reservoir to blend in with the natural ground elevation, which was difficult to do in light of the high water table. The reservoir will extend approximately 1 metre above the existing ground level but will be gently sloped so that it appears natural.

Two access roads from Queen Street will be used for the construction of the reservoir to ensure that the residents around Logan Crescent are disrupted as little as possible.

For further information with respect to this project, please visit Water Works.
