Sale of Land


The Council of the City of Yorkton pursuant to Section 101 of The Cities Act, and in accordance with Bylaw No. 8/2003 hereby gives public notice of its intention to sell the following properties for less than market value:

To Sell: Lot 13, Block 7, Registered Plan No. 99Y06931 known civically as 3 Kelsey Bay to be used for commercial development.

The sale of this property will be considered by City Council at the Council Meeting of Monday, November 28, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, City Hall at 37 Third Avenue North. Public Skating has been cancelled at the Farrell Agencies Arena until Sunday, December 4th due to the Harvest Showdown and Painted Hand Curling Classic.

The CITY OF YORKTON ARCHIVES is seeking photos, letters, and other documents relating to the history of Yorkton and the immediate surrounding area. Examples: photos of railway history, arrival of groups of immigrants, the radar base, York Lake, sports groups, Ukrainian dancing, Bobby Burns events, Barber Shop concerts, stage performances, children and youth at play, the rain, hail and wind storm of Monday, August 27, 1978, etc.
