4 - Full Time Summer Culture, Recreation and Sport Programmer Positions

The programmers will be responsible for development of the Summer Programs within the City of Yorkton. You will be responsible for planning, marketing, implementing and evaluating the Summer Program for children and youth 6 -12 years of age.

Qualifications:

  • Preference will be given to those with Recreation/Leisure training and/or related experience;
  • Program delivery knowledge or experience;
  • Must maintain and possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license and own transportation;
  • Must possess and maintain R.C.M.P. Security Clearance;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Valid CPR and First Aid preferred;
  • Knowledge of computers would be an asset.

Salary:
$10.15 per hour (35 hours per week)

Waterworks Foreman

Waterworks Foreman

Reporting directly to the Director of Environmental Services, the Waterworks Foreman is to provide front line technical support and primary supervision for the Water Treatment Plant, Pollution Control Plant and Landfill.  The Waterworks Foreman will supervise analytical laboratory work for operations, process and quality control, coordinates the mainline flushing program with the Sewer and Water Foreman, manages the bio-solids application, oversees personnel administration, budget preparation, control and reporting systems and landfill operations. The Waterworks Foreman is also responsible for hiring, training, performance and follow-up within a unionized environment.  Must be able to meet the objectives and policies as set by the City.  The position is also given great latitude for creative and innovative opportunities.

Snowmobile Regulations 
Bylaw No. 8/2000

 
1. No person shall drive or operate a snowmobile whether it is licensed or not on any of the following:
street, lane, avenue, highway, boulevard, park or playground within the corporate limits of the City of Yorkton.
 
2. Operation of licensed snowmobiles shall be permitted in accordance with Bylaw No. 8/2000 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. on the routes designated in Schedule "A" of this bylaw <see below>.
 
Any person who contravenes any provisions of this bylaw may face fines and/or the snowmobile will be seized and impounded for a period of up to thirty (30) days.

To report an infraction of this bylaw you can contact the Yorkton RCMP City Detachment or the Bylaw Enforcement Office. For more information pertaining to this bylaw contact the Bylaw Enforcement Office at 786-1725.
