Proposed Bylaw No. 4/2010

The Council of the City of Yorkton pursuant to Section 207 of The Planning and Development Act, 2007 hereby gives notice of its intention to pass Bylaw No. 4/2010, which is an amendment to City of Yorkton Zoning Bylaw No. 14/2003 to change the zoning of Lot H, Block 4, Plan CG2475, civically known as 231 Fourth Avenue North, from C-4 Neighbourhood Commercial to R-1 General Residential. The applicant/owner has indicated that it is intended for the existing building to be converted into a Single Detached Dwelling, which is a permitted use in the R-1 zone.

The proposed zoning bylaw amendment may be inspected in the office of the Planning and Engineering Department, City Hall by any person without payment of any fees between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., all holidays excepted and up until 12:00 noon Friday January 22, 2010.

Any person may make oral or written representation to City Council at its meeting to be held on Monday January 25, 2010 in the City Hall Council Chambers, Yorkton, Saskatchewan at 5:00 p.m. All submissions must be submitted in writing by 12:00 noon Thursday January 21, 2010 to Bonnie Schenher, City Clerk. The Council of the City of Yorkton pursuant to Section 55 of The Planning and Development Act, 2007 hereby gives notice of its intention to allow for a Residential Care Facility, located on Lot 22, Block 3, Plan 101961525, civically known as 112 Seventh Avenue North. The use of a Residential Care Facility in the R-5 Mixed Density Residential zoning district is listed as a Discretionary Use under Zoning Bylaw No. 14/2003 and, as such, requires public notification before Council reviews the application and makes its decision.

Business Licenses are required by anyone who conducts business in the City of Yorkton.  Business Licenses are to be displayed in a prominent location within the business.  Pursuant to the adoption of Business License Bylaw 8/2006, fees for Business Licenses are outlined below.  A Business License shall not be issued nor considered valid without payment of the following fees:
