SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES
October 29, 2012
Minutes of a Special Council Meeting held on Monday, October 29, 2012 in Council Chambers City Hall commencing at 5:00 p.m.
Present: Past Mayor James Wilson, Mayor-elect Bob Maloney, Councillors Elect Les Arnelien, Ross Fisher, Randy Goulden, Larry Pearen, James Wilson and Chris Wyatt
Guests: His Honour Judge Darin Chow, Pastor Des Klingspon
Staff Members Present: David Putz, Bonnie Schenher, Lonnie Kaal, Darcy McLeod, Dean Clark, Michael Buchholzer, Trent Mandzuk, Kelly Kaban, S/Sgt. Joe Milburn, Kim Durdin, Chris Wentzell, Roy Lanaway, Brant Hryhorczuk and Maureen Currie

Past Mayor James Wilson in the Chair called the Meeting to order at 5:00 p.m.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
That the Agenda for this Special Meeting of Council be approved as presented.
REPORT OF RETURNING OFFICER
Bonnie Schenher, City Clerk and Returning Officer advised that using the 2011 Saskatchewan Covered Population report the City of Yorkton had an estimated 14,476 eligible voters. There were 3862 registered voters in the Poll Books. This represents an approximate 26.68% turn out of voters for this election. She thanked all those staff members and the election workers for their assistance during this election. She also thanked those who ran, showing their commitment to the City of Yorkton. She provided the official results of the 2012 Municipal Election.
That the report of the returning officer be approved as presented.
INAUGURATION OF COUNCIL
His Honor Judge Darin Chow, Judge of the Provincial Court of Saskatchewan, presided over the swearing in ceremony of Mayor Bob Maloney and Councillors Arnelien, Fisher, Goulden, Pearen, Wilson and Wyatt. A Declaration of Office by Elected Officials was taken and completed by the Mayor and each Councillor.
Past Mayor James Wilson placed the Chain of Office on Mayor Bob Maloney.
Pastor Des Klingspon was present in Council Chambers and delivered the invocation to the Members of Council.
Mayor Bob Maloney thanked all of Council for putting their names forward and to all of the citizens of Yorkton for their support for this election.
That this Special Council Meeting adjourn at 5:17 p.m.
