Yorkton Transit travels on scheduled, fixed routes, picking up and dropping off customers at designated bus stops at key locations such as: community services; financial institutions; senior centres; businesses; hospital and shopping destinations on a reliable schedule - with your comfort and convenience in mind.We’re going your way. Yorkton Transit Hours of Operation:
Monday to Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

How to Ride
Yorkton Transit runs on a two-loop, fixed route picking up and dropping off customers along the way. This route takes an hour to complete with the start of each 1/2 hour loop starting at Yorkton Coop Grocery story.

(ages 18 & over)
Cash Fare: $3.50 for one-way

available at City Hall or Gallagher Centre

Ticket Book of 30 trips: $87.50
available from Bus Driver if you have exact amount

Student Rates
(Under 18 or valid Student Card)
Cash Fare: $2.50 for one-way

Children under 6 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible attendant at all times.

If you cannot walk to a bus stop or require accessibility accommodations:
You may be eligible to use Access Transit services or Seniors Mobility, operated by the Society for the Involvement of Good Neighbors (SIGN)

Access Transit Hours of Operation:
Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A partnership between the City of Yorkton and SaskAbilities has been established, with SaskAbilities operating both Yorkton Transit and Access Transit. This partnership provides opportunities for local adults and children with disabilities and enhances their independence and participation in the community.

Rider’s Etiquette:
Public transit is just that, transportation for everyone.In order to make everyone's trip more pleasant, we ask that you abide by the Transit Bylaw and respect others' rights to enjoy their trip.For this reason, we ask that you follow a few rules when riding the bus:

  • Be ready and waiting at the stop several minutes ahead of time to ensure you don’t miss your bus
  • Be ready to board or disembark as soon as the bus stops to keep the bus on schedule.
  • For the safety and comfort of all riding Yorkton Transit, please:
  • Refrain from eating or drinking on the bus.
  • Refrain from wearing scented products
  • Take any garbage with you when you leave.
  • Keep aisles clear from bags and purses by placing them on your lap or between your feet.
  • Please use headphones when listening to music, etc.
  • Please keep conversations and cell phone volume quiet.
  • Please keep driver distractions to a minimum
