The City of Yorkton is a great place to host a wide range of indoor and outdoor events. We believe that festivals and events are important cultural attractions that can improve the economy and lifestyle of Yorkton and our residents.

Block parties |
Our Block Party Package is the first step to hosting a block party in your area. All you need to do is fill out the application form, have your neighbours sign the petition and submit. The event organizer must complete the application to temporarily close the street a minimum of two weeks prior to the requested date of the block party. |
Parade permits |
All parades held in Yorkton require a permit to close roadways and receive barricades. Please fill out our Parade Permit Application and submit the application at least 15 business days before the scheduled parade date. |
Special occasion permits |
In order to have alcohol on City of Yorkton properties and facilities, an application for a Special Occasion Permit must be completed and submitted with your Facility Rental Application. Please allow two weeks from your scheduled date for the permit to be processed. |
City wide registration nights |
City wide registration night is held twice throughout the year:
Community organizations use city wide registration nights to gather in-person registrations for their public programs. To find out what community groups Yorkton has to offer, please see our Community Groups and Organizations page. 2023 Spring City Wide Registration NightThe 2023 Spring City Wide Registration Night will be on Wednesday, March 29th from 5:30p.m. - 8:00p.m. at the Gallagher Centre Flexihall. Registrations are now open for groups to register. Annual indoor rummage sale |
The annual City of Yorkton Indoor Rummage Sale is held annually in May of each year. Based out of the Curling Rink in the Gallagher Centre, individuals can register to be a vendor to sell various items to attendees. This year's Indoor Rummage Sale will be held on Saturday, May 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.. Registration for the Rummage Sale closes on Monday May 1st @ 4:00 p.m.. Exhibitors can set up on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.. Exhibitors may show up at 7:30 a.m. the day of the event to complete set up. Tear down must take place at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023. |
Funding |
Your event may be eligible for full or partial funding. We offer community grants to assist community groups with the funding of culture, recreation and sport projects or events. |
