Outdoor Rinks and Crokicurl

There are five outdoor rinks and two Crokicurl rinks located throughout the city, free for the public to use. All outdoor rinks have lights that stay turned on until 10:30 p.m. Each rink is supplied with hockey nets and shovels to clear any snow. Crokicurl will have stones on sight for use.

To keep this space fun for everyone, we ask that you please place shovels and game equipment back where you found it once finished.

All rinks and Crokicurl are inspected weekly by City staff.

Crokicurl

Crokicurl is a combination of crokinole and curling. The object of the game is to get as many points as you can by shooting a rock into the centre button. You can also position rocks on the surface so they remain within the highest scoring circle at the end of the round. Two Crokicurl surfaces are located in Yorkton for your enjoyment.
