Annual Park Parties

The Annual Park Parties are outdoor celebrations to promote the vast benefits of park spaces in the City of Yorkton. These parties are family events that also showcase some great local talent. This year's parties will take place on the following dates: 

August 6th Silver Heights Park
August 13th

Weinmaster Park

5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. each evening

We are currently looking for entertainers for these events. If you have a talent you would like to showcase or would like more information, call 786-1750. Come out, bring your lawn chair, buy a hot dog and enjoy the concert!





Summer Cultural Arts and Physical Activity Experiences 
Sports, games, crafts, special guests, field trips and more

The S-CAPE program starts July 2 and runs until August 15, 2003

Aquatic Centre News 

At the Parkland Agriplex Aquatic Centre, there is still time to take lessons before summer is over. The last session of the summer is running from August 4 to 15. Register now to secure your spot in the class you want.

Our new Fall/Winter Brochure is out, full with new classes and information about all swimming courses, including Speed swimming and Synchronized swimming. There is also a new lesson format that you will want to be sure to check out! Registration begins on August 4, 2003 for all programs, so register right away to get the spot you want!

Campground/GHCC Attendants

Yorkton Leisure Services 
is seeking applications for the following: 
(August 13, 2003 to October 1, 2003) 
(August 13, 2003 to April 30, 2004)

Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor, both positions perform various duties relating to the general operation, care and cleaning of the City Campground and/or Gloria Hayden Community Centre. This includes administration, customer service functions, janitorial maintenance and minor building maintenance.

Applicants shall submit a covering letter, detailed resume, complete with three references no later than 4:30 p.m., Friday, August 8, 2003.

Court Liaison Officer


The City of Yorkton is offering a challenging employment opportunity for a highly motivated individual in our vibrant and growing community. Reporting to the N.C.O. in charge of the Municipal RCMP Detachment, the successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and maintaining all Court Files and will act in the interest of the Crown on various cases within the Yorkton Jurisdiction.

Interested applicants may submit a detailed resume complete with three references by Friday, August 15, 2003

Celebrate Saskatchewan Sub - Commission

The City of Yorkton is inviting applications from people interested in serving on the Celebrate Saskatchewan Sub - Commission. Appointments will be made in September of this year.

The purpose of this sub-commission is to assist Yorkton in Celebrating Saskatchewan's 100th anniversary in 2005.

Please provide a brief letter of interest to the address below by Friday, August 15th, 2003. The letter should include a brief description of experience, qualifications and reasons for applying.
