Back Lane Pruning

The City of Yorkton Parks Branch will be conducting back lane tree pruning over the next couple of weeks. Pruning will take place west of Gladstone Avenue South between Bradbrooke Drive and Broadway Street West. The pruning program is designed to clear the right of way for vehicular access to the back lane. A certified pruner is part of the pruning program and standard pruning practices are employed.

Information leaflets will be placed in mailboxes prior to the start of the pruning program. The pruning program will only prune trees/shrubs to provide access to the back lane. There may be instances where limbs are removed to conform with standard practices.

If you have any issues with the trees in your back lane and if you have received an information leaflet, please feel free to call the Parks Branch at 786-1754 or City Hall at 786-1750.
