Proposed Bylaw No. 13/2009

The Council of the City of Yorkton pursuant to Section 207 of The Planning and Development Act, 2007 hereby gives notice of its intention to pass Bylaw No. 13/2009, which is an amendment to City of Yorkton Zoning Bylaw No. 14/2003 to change the zoning of Lots 7-9, Block 52, Plan 66Y09711, civically known as 259 Circlebrooke Drive, from IN Institutional to CZ Contract Zone. The proposed Contract Zone intends to provide for the permitted use of a Boarding/Lodging Home, Residential Care Facility and/or Seniors Assisted Living Facility.

The proposed zoning bylaw amendment may be inspected in the office of the Director of Planning and Engineering, City Hall by any person without payment of any fees between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., all holidays excepted and up until 12:00 noon Friday May 22, 2009.

Any person may make oral or written representation to City Council at its meeting to be held on Monday May 25, 2009 in the City Hall Council Chambers, Yorkton, Saskatchewan at 5:00 p.m. All submissions must be submitted in writing by 12:00 noon Thursday May 21, 2009 to Bonnie Schenher, City Clerk. Oral or written submissions will be considered when the Public Hearing, in respect to this application, is in session.

Public Notice

The City of Yorkton has engaged a contractor to install a 500 mm diameter water main along the western edge of the City.  Construction will start along Highway #10, cross Broadway Street West and proceed north along Sully Avenue to the Canola Crushing Plants.  The construction will start during the week of May 18th and continue for approximately 6 weeks.

Access to properties and traffic accommodation along the route may be restricted or limited at times.  However, providing access to businesses will be a priority.  The City apologizes for any inconveniences that the construction may cause.  See attached map for construction route.
