City of Yorkton to host State of the City 2026 on June 17

The City of Yorkton invites residents, community partners and members of the local business community to attend State of the City 2026 on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, featuring a community-focused address from Mayor Aaron Kienle.

State of the City 2026 will provide an update on key initiatives underway across Yorkton, highlight progress made over the past year, and outline priorities for the year ahead. The evening will include video highlights and interactive elements designed to invite attendees to reflect on what they value most about Yorkton and what they want to see next.

“This year’s State of the City is meant to be welcoming and community-focused,” said Mayor Kienle. “We want people from every walk of life to feel comfortable attending, learning more about what’s happening in Yorkton, and sharing what they love about the community.”

The City is also incorporating entertainment to make the evening more of an event. Chris Mooney will provide live music during supper, and attendees will have the option to participate in a beer tasting with Pile O’ Bones Brewing Co.
