Fire Ban May 2026

A fire ban has been issued for the City of Yorkton, effective as of May 13, 2026.

Instructions
The use of all outdoor fire pits is restricted.

Additional Information
The following activities are prohibited within the specified area:

• Fires burning woody debris in outdoor pits or stoves.
• The use of tiki torches, fireworks, firecrackers, sky lanterns, burning barrels or burning cages of any size or description.

This prohibition does not apply to CSA-rated or ULC-rated BBQ's that use natural gas, propane or briquettes.
