The plan guides how the municipality support arts, culture, and heritage in the community. It was created with input from local residents, organizations, and stakeholders to help shape a strong cultural future for Yorkton.

Heritage keeps stories alive and presents them to the world.  By doing this, a community can come together and make connections between each other over shared interests and collective memories.  Whether it be online or in person, keeping history alive is a vital part of keeping a community strong.

Yorkton is home to contemporary artwork that enhances public spaces throughout the community. Different forms of art include:

ArtVenture is a self-guided tour of all the publicly accessible art pieces that are found throughout the city. Pieces are found in various outdoor locations and public facilities such as schools and municipal buildings.
