Fire Permits

A valid Burn Permit is required before you light up that approved backyard fire pit.

Permits are issued annually and are valid from January 1 to December 31.

A Burn Permit cost is $20.00 per calendar year (this price includes tax). If you are paying in person, we accept debit, cash or cheque.

Use caution when lighting a fire in any backyard fire pit setting. Failure to follow all guidelines could result in a fine and cancellation of your permit without refund.

Please review the Open-Air Fires Bylaw to ensure all measures are taken before obtaining a permit.

Before starting a backyard fire, always check if a fire ban is in effect.
