Residential Recycling Collection
Recycling is one way that we contribute to environmental sustainability and reduce the amount of waste that goes to the landfill, which in turn decreases long-term costs by extending the life of the landfill site. Recyclable materials are not accepted in garbage collection.
Collection days scheduled on a holiday will always be rescheduled. The 2026 residential recycling collection schedule outlines the alternative collection days.
Curbside recycling costs residents $5 per month (therefore a $10 recycling fee on the bi-monthly utility bill).

Notice: Household glass, styrofoam products and flexible film plastics (plastic bags, zipper locks, shrink wrap etc.) MUST be taken directly to Sarcan for recycling.
All acceptable items should NOT be bagged in the blue cart. Bagged items are classified as contamination and end up in the garbage.
