Downtown Parking
Downtown parking is enforced from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday. Parking is free after 6 p.m. and on Saturday, Sunday and statutory holidays.
Downtown Parking Meters
There are many different types of parking available in the downtown, such as:
- 2 hour free on-street parking;
- 15-minute on-street pay meters;
- Pay-and-display downtown lots (15 minute or hourly payment options); and
- Parking permits for use in downtown lots.
The downtown parking map shows the locations of each option.
Rates for 15-minute Meters on the Downtown Streets
$0.25 per 7.5 minutes
$0.50 per 15 minutes
No charge on Saturday, Sunday and statutory holidays
Rates for the Pay-and-Display City Lots

Payment Options
Downtown meters accept coins or Visa/MasterCard payment.
The City offers inexpensive parking permits to encourage downtown business employees to park off the street. This will result in more on-street parking availability for customers.
Additional Info
Accessible parking spots are also available throughout the downtown.
A lane use permit is required if you plan to do any work downtown that will take up parking space(s) longer than the time allowed.
