Please be advised that Mayor Maloney has called for a Special Meeting of Council to be held tomorrow, Friday, April 3, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. in Council Chambers in City Hall to discuss the City Operations Centre Modified Tender Award. It will be streamed live on our website (streaming link on our home page), and Access7 Cable will also be broadcasting. You can find the agenda here.
As per subsection 187(1) of The Cities Act, the assessment roll for the City of Yorkton for the year 2020 has been prepared and is open to inspection from April 1st to May 19th, 2020.
Bylaw No. 17/2003 required under section 184(2) of The Cities Act has been passed and the assessment notices have been sent as required.
Any person who wishes to appeal against his or her assessment or classification to the Board of Revision is required to file his or her appeal with:

407 Ball Road is a property subject to a Development Appeals Board Hearing. The appellant applied for a Development Permit for a shipping container storage unit at the above noted location within an MI-1 Light Industrial Zoning District. The location of the shipping container storage unit contravenes the City of Yorkton Zoning Bylaw No. 14/2003 as follows:
For that reason, the Development Permit has been denied. The applicant has appealed the refusal, and is requesting variance of the Zoning Bylaw requirements to the parameters described above.
This appeal will be heard by the Development Appeals Board for the City of Yorkton in Council Chambers, Main Floor, City Hall. Should you have any comments, either in favour of or opposed to the appeal, you may either voice them at the Development Appeals Board Hearing or you may submit them in writing. HEARING HAS BEEN POSTPONED.
