The Yorkton Cross Country Ski Trails are located on the west side of the
City, just off Highway #52 at the Deer Park Municipal Golf Course. The trail system is developed and maintained by the Yorkton Cross Country Ski Club. Trails are set in both classic and skate ski styles, and are groomed on a regular basis by the club. Trails begin at the clubhouse, and take advantage of the natural beauty and rolling landscape of the golf course.
The Ski Club operates the clubhouse during the winter season, and also provides a rental shop for those who do not have their own equipment. The Club is happy to help with fitting the proper equipment, and providing information on ski waxing to ensure you are getting the most out of your skiing experience.
While the trails are open to the public and free for all to use, memberships to the Yorkton Cross Country Ski Club are encouraged to help maintain the trails and provide equipment. There is also a sign in book just outside the clubhouse, and skiiers are asked to sign into each time they use the trails so the Ski Club can accurately report numbers when apply for grants and funding.
