Tax Assessment


Pursuant to subsection 187(1) of The Cities Act, notice is hereby given that the assessment roll for the City of Yorkton for the year 2003 has been prepared and is open to inspection in the office of the assessor from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the following days: March 20 to April 21, 2003.

Pursuant to subsection 184(2) the City of Yorkton passed Bylaw 17/2003 dispensing with the preparation of assessment notices on those properties whose assessment has not changed in 2003.

Any person who wishes to appeal against his or her assessment or classification to the board of revision is required to file his or her appeal with: The Assessor, City of Yorkton, P.O. Box 400, Yorkton, SK S3N 2W3 by the 21st day of April 2003.

Aquatic Centre News


There is a new session of swimming lessons starting!! There are lessons on Saturdays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Monday/Wednesdays. Every Red Cross Aqua Quest level is being offered, including AquaTots and AquaAdults. The space is limited, so make sure that you register early. Session begins on March 22, 2003. Take lessons now to learn how to swim and be water safe before summer comes!

The Parkland Agriplex Pool is also offering leadership courses. If you want to become an instructor or lifeguard, call today to register for the courses and become certified by summer!!

Lost and Found


Have you lost your keys?

We have an extensive assortment of keys (including car starter remotes) that have been turned in to City Hall.

You can check for lost keys either by coming in person to the Cashier's Counter, or by calling the Bylaw Control office at 786-1725.

The programmers will be responsible for development of the Summer Programs within the City of Yorkton. You will be responsible for planning, marketing, implementing and evaluating the Summer Program for children and youth 6 -11 years of age.

The Summer Program Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the planning, promoting, implementation and evaluation of summer leisure programs for the City of Yorkton. Primary responsibilities will be the operation of special events and providing facilitation and support services to community groups and organizations currently offering programs and services to the city.
