Civic Recognition Awards
The 2022 Civic Recognition Awards have been postponed to 2023 in order to channel focus to the Queen's Jubilee Medal Program.
The City of Yorkton Civic Recognition Awards are presented annually to three recipients:
Adult Civic Recognition |
Presented to a citizen to recognize the selfless support the individual has made towards the betterment of the City of Yorkton through:

Youth Civic Recognition |
Presented to a citizen under the age of 18 years old prior to December 31 of the current year, to recognize contributions made by the individual towards the betterment of the City of Yorkton through:

Group Civic Recognition |
Presented to two or more individuals belonging/involved in an organized group that contributes towards the betterment of the City of Yorkton through:

Nominations
The Citizen Recognition Awards Committee has extended the call for nominations until November 15, 2021. You can submit your nomination online or pick up a nomination form at City Hall.
The Awards Committee will review the nominations and their recommendations will be provided to Council for approval.
Awards
Award recipients will be announced at a December Council meeting.
An award reception to host and honour the award recipients will be held in Council Chambers prior to the first meeting of Council in January.
Award recipients will:
- Have their names inscribed on a Civic Recognition plaque that will be on display at City Hall;
- Receive an inscribed 'keeper' plaque; and
- Receive a framed photograph with member(s) of Council.
Adult and Youth award recipients will also receive a Coop gift card supplied by the award's program sponsor, Legacy Coop.
