Civic Recognition Awards
The City of Yorkton Civic Recognition Awards are presented annually to three recipients:
Adult Civic Recognition |
Presented to a citizen to recognize the selfless support the individual has made towards the betterment of the City of Yorkton through:

Youth Civic Recognition |
Presented to a citizen under the age of 18 years old prior to December 31 of the current year, to recognize contributions made by the individual towards the betterment of the City of Yorkton through:

Group Civic Recognition |
Presented to two or more individuals belonging/involved in an organized group that contributes towards the betterment of the City of Yorkton through:

Nominations
The Citizen Recognition Awards Committee will call for nominations annually, from October 1 to October 31 of each year. At that time, you can submit your nomination online or pick up a nomination form at City Hall.
The Awards Committee will review the nominations and the recommendations will be provided to Council for approval.
Awards
An award reception to host and honour the award recipients will be held at 4 p.m. in Council Chambers prior to the first meeting of Council in January.
Award recipients will:
- Have their names inscribed on a Civic Recognition plaque that will be on display at City Hall;
- Receive a framed photograph with member of Council;
- Receive a gift certificate as supplied by awards program sponsors;
- Group award winners will receive one inscribed plaque.
