Public Notice
Proposed Bylaw No. 25/2005

   
The Council of the City of Yorkton pursuant to Section 207 of The Planning and Development Act, 1983 hereby gives notice of its intention to consider Proposed Bylaw No. 25/2005 to amend Zoning Bylaw No.14/2003 on the following Section:

Section 4.34 that states the Multi-Family/High Density Residential and Non-Residential Building Design shall be amended to exclude Ball Road Industrial Park from requirements pertaining to façade materials. The affected area is shown within the bold dashed line on the map below.

The proposed zoning amendment will allow establishments in the Light Industrial (MI-1) district that are deficient in the required façade materials used, to exercise the option of constructing with other types of required materials.

The proposed zoning amendment may be inspected in the office of the Junior Planner, City Hall by any person without payment of any fees between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., all holidays excepted and up until 12:00 noon Friday, September 9th, 2005.

Any person may make oral or written representation to City Council at its meeting to be held on Monday, September 12th, 2005 in City Hall Council Chambers, Yorkton, Saskatchewan at 5:00 p.m. Oral or written submissions will be considered when the Public Hearing, in respect to this application, is in session.

Sale/Lease of Property


The Council of the City of Yorkton pursuant to Section 101 of The Cities Act, 2003 and in accordance with Bylaw No. 8/2003 hereby gives public notice of its intention to sell and lease the following properties for less than market value:

To Sell:
Lot 4, Block 12, Registered Plan No. 82Y04242, known civically as 362 Gladstone Avenue for $1.00 to a non-profit organization that will provide needed services to the community and subject to a new facility being constructed on the property.

AND

To Lease: 
Parcel E, Registered Plan No. C.H. 1649, known civically as 150 Independent Street (formerly known and operated as Anderson Lodge) for $1.00 per annum to the Sunrise Health Region.

The sale and lease of these properties will be considered by City Council at the Council Meeting of Monday, September 12, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, City Hall at 37 Third Avenue North. Part-Time Kiosk Cashier Receptionist 
Leisure Services Department - Gallagher Centre

 
Reporting directly to the Program Supervisor.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processes general admission, memberships, program registration, Ticket Master, lottery centre, and receives customers entering leisure facility accurately in accordance with City of Yorkton policies and procedures. 
  • Provides program and service information including schedules and program descriptions.
  • Performs general office functions such as filing, and word processing as required.
  • Handles telephone and reception duties including: public inquiries and requests, complaint calls, bookings, and general information while maintaining excellent customer service. 
  • Completes other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications: 

  • One year related cash handling experience in customer service environment. · Knowledge of accepted procedures for handling cash, balancing transactions, and completing revenue collection reports. 
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices. 
  • Possess computer skills.
  • Must possess good interpersonal communications and public relation skills.
  • Must possess and maintain RCMP security clearance.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Salary:                            $9.68 per hour

Hours of Work:              Shift work, evening and weekend work is involved
