Proposed Bylaw No. 23/2009

The Council of the City of Yorkton pursuant to Section 207 of The Planning and Development Act, 2007 hereby gives notice of its intention to pass Bylaw No. 23/2009, which is an amendment to City of Yorkton Zoning Bylaw No. 14/2003 to change the zoning of Lot 3, Block 63, Plan 95Y08196, civically known as 12 Parklane Drive, from R-1 General Residential to CZ Contract Zone. The proposed Contract Zone intends to increase the maximum allowable height for an accessory building (detached garage) from 5.25m (17ft 3in+) to 6.25m (20ft 6in+). All other requirements of the R-1 General Residential zoning district must still be met on the subject property.

The proposed zoning bylaw amendment may be inspected in the office of the Planning and Engineering Department, City Hall by any person without payment of any fees between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., all holidays excepted and up until 12:00 noon Friday August 21, 2009.

Any person may make oral or written representation to City Council at its meeting to be held on Monday August 24, 2009 in the City Hall Council Chambers, Yorkton, Saskatchewan at 5:00 p.m. All submissions must be submitted in writing by 12:00 noon Thursday August 20, 2009 to Bonnie Schenher, City Clerk.  Oral or written submissions will be considered when the Public Hearing, in respect to this application, is in session.

Request for Proposals
Council Chambers Audio Video Improvements

Sealed Tenders marked "Council Chambers Audio Video Improvements” will be received at Department of Leisure Services, City of Yorkton, Box 400, Yorkton, Saskatchewan S3N 2W3, no later than 4:00 P.M. Central Standard Time, Friday, July 31, 2009.

DETAILS:
The City of Yorkton will be accepting proposals for the replacement of the existing audio and recording equipment, as well as the provision and installation of video equipment located within City Council Chambers at Yorkton City Hall.

The proposed work shall be completed by September 4th, 2009 and shall not disrupt the August 24th City Council meeting.  Either the new audio/recording system or the existing audio/recording system is required to be operational for this meeting.

The proposal shall include all costs related to the provision of labour and installation of materials and/or any other costs to remove existing and install new equipment to working condition. This includes, but may not be limited to all materials, labour, permits, licenses, etc.

The existing equipment shall remain the property of the City of Yorkton.

A site inspection must be completed prior to submission of proposal.

OPTIONAL CLAUSES:
Proposals shall remain open for acceptance by the City and irrevocable for thirty (30) calendar days following the date specified for tender closing.

Proposals received after the date and time specified for closing will be marked late and be returned unopened.

The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Lowest or any proposal not necessarily accepted.
