The City of Yorkton will have a number of adjusted hours of operation on Monday, September 4, 2023. 

City Hall 

• Closed on Monday, September 4 and will reopen Tuesday, September 5, at 8 a.m. 

Public Works 

• Closed on Monday, September 4 and will reopen Tuesday, September 5, at 7 a.m.

York Road Reconstruction Phase 2 and 3 Road Closures and Detours

Phases 2 and 3 of the York Road Reconstruction project is now underway. Phase 1 is complete, and the roadway will be open from Highway 9 to Seventh Avenue North.

Road closures along York Road are extended to First Avenue North, with a detour in place on Imperial Street for local traffic and vehicles accessing businesses along York Road.

Phases 2 and 3 are expected to take approximately three months to complete, weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Yorkton Public Library continues operations at present location

During the August 14 Council Meeting – In Camera session, members of Council discussed a status update pertaining to the relocation of the Yorkton Public Library.

The sale of the Library was approved at the June 5, 2023 Council Meeting, but as with all sales, conditions are put in place and have to be met prior to finalizing the purchase agreement. Phase 2B of the Water Main Replacement on Circlebrooke Dr. starting Thursday, August 10

Phase 2B of the Water Main Replacement program will take place tentatively starting Thursday, August 10. The road will be closed on Circlebrooke Drive between Riverview Road and Crestwood Crescent. Phase 2A will also continue to be closed on Circlebrooke Drive between Crestwood Crescent and Parkview Road.

Phase 1 of the project is now complete and the roadway between Glenbrooke Drive and Riverview Road is open to traffic.
