The applicant proposes to operate a Bed and Breakfast at the proposed location of 102 Third Avenue North, in an R-5 Mixed Density Residential zoning district. Bed and Breakfast uses within a Mixed Density Residential zoning district are Discretionary Uses under Zoning Bylaw No. 14/2003 and must be publicly advertised before Council can make a decision on the application.

Council Approves 2021 Budget - Upgrades to City Infrastructure Coming in 2022

Yorkton City Council approved the City’s 2021 budget at their regular City Council meeting on Monday, holding municipal tax increases to zero percent for this year.

The budget was tabled at the March 15 council meeting and the public was given the past two weeks to voice any questions or concerns via our City website, by email or phone. Aside from input from the Chamber of Commerce, no comments have been received.

Garbage, Recycling and Organics Survey

To protect our environment, regulations regarding the disposal of solid waste are becoming more strict, thus more expensive. Funds required for landfill expansions are accumulated through the landfill fees. 

To help manage these expenses, we are surveying residents to help guide future decision making.
