UPDATE! - Friday, August 18, 2023 
Zones 8, 9 and 10 have been completed. and 2023 Hydrant flushing has been completed. 
UPDATE! - Tuesday, August 15, 2023. 
Zone 7 has been completed. City crews will be starting Zones 8 and 9 this evening, Tuesday, August 15 at 8 P.M.
UPDATE! - Monday, August 14, 2023. 
Zone 5 & 6 has been completed. City crews will be starting Zone 7 the evening of Monday, August 14 at 8 P.M.
UPDATE! - Thursday, August 11, 2023. 
Zone 4 has been completed and Zone 5 up to Lawrence Avenue has been completed. 
City crews will be finishing Zone 5 and possibly starting Zone 6 Sunday evening, August 13 at 8 P.M. 
UPDATE! - Thursday, August 10, 2023. 
Zone 3 has been completed and City crews will be moving to Zone 4 and possibly starting Zone 5 this evening Thursday, August 10 at 8 P.M.

Yorkton residents and business! 

The Public Works Department will begin a water main flushing program on Monday, August 7 at 8 P.M Starting in the south west corner of the city. This is an essential maintenance procedure, to remove the rust and sediment that has accumulated in the water mains.

For about 12 days from 8 P.M to 6 A.M, each evening during the week, our city crews will be hard at work ensuring water distribution system is in top shape for fire fighters, residents, and businesses.

Check the  City of Yorkton Facebook page and sign up for our Voyent Alert Notification System to receive notifications of areas to be flushed. You may also call the Public Works Department at 306-786-1760 for information between 7 A.M and 4 P.M, Monday through Friday. 

Be Aware!  During the flushing, the water will contain a considerable amount of rust and sediment, and may be discoloured for several hours. The system pressure will fluctuate during the flushing period.
