Free Parking in Downtown City Owned Lots

Parking in the downtown City owned parking lots will be free from June 30-July 4, 2025.  

To encourage business activity in the downtown area of Yorkton, City Council voted in favour of offering additional free parking weeks in the downtown City owned parking lots at the November 25, 2024 Council Meeting.  

Stay tuned for more free parking weeks throughout 2025.

Coyote Activity

Coyotes, like other wildlife, sometimes visit our city.

They are generally shy and avoid humans. We're actively monitoring their activity and have placed informational signs in areas with high coyote activity.

If you encounter a coyote:

• Allow it space to leave

• Do not approach or feed it

• Be assertive: make eye contact, wave, and shout if needed.
